Rama warns builders: We will not give away a single square meter of land without taking what belongs to the state

Prime Minister Edi Rama has warned builders that he will no longer give away a single square meter of state land without taking the share that belongs to the state.

"We no longer give a single square meter of land if a builder is in a situation where he has 95% ownership and the rest is state land. No more. For every square meter where there is no owner and the owner is the state, we have defined the share as owners, to take what belongs to the state. The only motive for giving land with a symbolic contract is the 1 euro contract. It is no longer appropriate for state land to be given for villas and swimming pools. Everything else is take the part that belongs to you and pay grain by grain what the private sector pays. In this regard, municipalities can take an important role. They can make extraordinary development with profit", said Rama./ CNA
