Rama differentiates the salaries of lecturers/ Salary increase only for the best

The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, has declared at the 65th anniversary conference of the University of Tirana that he will increase the salaries for lecturers.

But, according to him, this increase will not be uniform, as those who give more will be valued more.

"I am adding two more words about salaries because there has been a considerable debate. The necessary increase in salaries was made to reach the objective we had and in the meantime we are preparing together with the forum we have created with the accountants to see some conclusions of a report on the current situation and where we want the university to go in 2030. We are preparing to differentiate salaries in the sense of differentiating the contributions of the government and the budget to value more quality, to give more opportunities to those who give more. Starting next year, we will give an example of how it will be done, which means that we will see an increase in salaries for lecturers, but the other half of the sentence is that this increase will not be uniform," said Rama./ CNA.al
