Balluk/Balla's suspension: I thought it was a slip of the tongue, only the

The Head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, shared his position today on the "Opinion" show with journalist Blendi Fevziu, regarding the decision of the Special Court to suspend the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Ballulku.

Balla said that at first he thought it was a slip of the tongue, as according to him it is outside the jurisdiction of a court.

According to Balla, the Constitution clearly defines how to act in these cases.

"I refuted the person mentioned (Berisha) about the ministers suspended around the world and I tell you with deep conviction that I thought it was a slip of the tongue, that it never occurred to me that a judge, for whom I have respect, would refer to a code of criminal procedure while the Constitution has the answer. I am sorry that the Constitutional Court is taking so long, that neither the deputy nor the minister is suspended. Those who made the Constitution were not stupid. There is no place in the world where it is written that he is dismissed. So Sabri Godo and others knew it when they wrote the Constitution, but some others came later, including me who wrote several other articles and it was voted on by 140 deputies. So, the decision for a suspension cannot be made on its own, because it is an illegal case. Even the judge himself is suspended by a decision from the KED, after the start of the investigative process. Or the Constitution says that another element must be added "such as suspension or as I see it, delegation," Balla said. /CNA
