Deterioration of the weather/ Maritime Directorate of Vlora issues the

Notice of worsening hydrometeorological conditions during the dates 03-04.10.2024!

Based on the forecast for the deteriorating hydrometeorological situation inside and outside the bay of Vlora, during the dates 03-04.10.2024 starting from 02:00 on 03.10.2024 in the SOUTH-SOUTH-EAST direction, in the force up to 7-8bft at a speed wind up to 20-25 m/s and wave height from 1.50 to 2.50 meters, in order to prevent any unexpected situation due to atmospheric conditions, we request the cooperation of all entities that exercise activity in the maritime field, to take all measures necessary for securing the means in the port and increasing the readiness of the crew in the vessels.

1. TO PROHIBIT THE LICENSE-LAUNCH EQUIPMENT OF SMALL BOAT AND FISHING VESSELS WHICH OPERATE IN THE OPEN SEA STARTING FROM 22:00 ON 02.10.2024.

2. ALL DRIVERS OF SMALL BOATS AND FISHING VESSELS OPERATING INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE GULF OF VLORAS TO TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION THE HYDROMETOLOGICAL CONDITIONS AND TAKE MEASURES FOR THEIR SECURITY.

3. International maritime transport ships will continue to operate normally according to their respective destinations.

4. The improvement of the deteriorated hydrometeorological situation for small boats and fishing will be after 18:00 on 04.10.2024./ CNA
