"Grandfather's beer", in "Global Albanian Gastronomy"/ 100% artisanal, is intended to compete with German beers

In Berlin, Germany, the "Global Albanian Gastronomy" takes place, a gastronomy fair, where more than 100 Albanian businesses from Kosovo, North Macedonia and the diaspora participate, which have set up stands to promote their products.

CNA has reported the gastronomy fair that was held in the "Arena Halle" of Berlin, a very good opportunity to promote Albanian businesses, which carry out activities in various fields.

Journalist Elvi Fundo went to "Arena Halle" in Berlin to see this fair up close. Among the many stands was "Grandfather Beer", an artisanal product with a special taste for fans of this product.

Beer is produced in the city of Pogradec. This craft beer comes in two varieties.

"Grandfather's beer is artisanal and was born as a desire to consume a special and healthy product, and especially to consume a biological product. It is produced in Pogradec".

This product has entered three since 2019 and aims to penetrate the international market, and why not compete with German beers with the specialness that consists in its production and composition.

"Beer entered the market in 2019. That's why we're here. You can't imitate German beers, but we have a distinct style for a market that likes craft beer and can approach it as something special. It is an unfiltered beer, without preservatives, it is natural. These are two Belgian styles with 4.4% alcohol and 5.5% alcohol.

Grandfather's Brewery was born in 2019 from the desire and passion to create and enjoy a healthy craft and beer, Grandfather's beer recipes are unique.

This is the first brewery in Albania, which has experimented and introduced to the market the styles of top-fermented beers such as Ipa, Apa, Belge.

Brewing is done using the classic 100% artisanal brewing method. Fermentation takes place in two stages, as the beer is unfiltered and unpasteurized. Its color and character is the result of mixing several types of special malts, while the unique aroma is made possible by the use of some of the prestigious hummingbirds./ CNA
