The 82-year-old Lefkotheia Karasa from the village of Nartë in Vlora, who was arrested for damaging a chicken coop without permission, is facing trials.

On Monday, a court hearing was also held against her, as if she had built the whole of Vlora without permission.

On October 25, it will be finally decided for the 82-year-old, Lefkotheia Karasa.

The elderly woman lives alone in a two-story house in Nartë, Vlora, while the boys are emigrating. She was taken to the police for building without a permit a month ago, when the criminal proceedings against her started.

In an interview for Report TV, the elderly woman told how she ended up at the doors of the courts.

 "The problem is that I got into trouble in my property, in my land that was left to me by my father-in-law. The house was built by the boys who worked in Greece. It has been two years in the making and it has cost a lot. We had a hut there and we want to make it big. A coop for chickens or something else, what should we do, we need that...(building). Nothing like I broke her (neighbor's) she broke my fence. The police came and took me by force. Did they tell you to screw it up? NO! We have it in our land. (cries)", says Lefkotheia Karasa. /CNA.al
