The deputy of the Democratic Party, Ina Zhupa, commented on the journey of the DP during 2023, where she emphasized that she started the year divided, while now she is more united than ever.

"The DP started the year more divided and is more united. It ended the year exposing this pseudo-parliamentarism. Today there is more unity of the democrats and unmasking of the government", said the democratic deputy.

During an interview with the media, Zhupa also spoke about the protests, underlining that they are not related to the name of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, but were developed for the protection of the law and the Constitution.

"Civil disobedience and our protests are not related to the name of Mr. Berisha. The last protest was in defense of the Constitution. This did not happen because Berisha will be above the law, but he does not want to be under the law. Militants are more motivated and we understand this in the structures. Protests are one of the elements that the militant comes and expresses his support", Zhupa said further.

He also spoke about the issue of the stamp, saying that there is no expectation because of the delay that is his issue.

 "This matter should have been closed in time. I don't know, in the literature of political science, as far as I know, there is no such case. The basic concept of a political party is voluntary association. At no point is it said that the party is the seal and the logo. This delay of 2 years does not lead me to expectations, but to the continuation of the delay", said Ina Zhupa./ CNA
