Prime Minister Edi Rama has warned that all those who start fires will face maximum punishment.
On the other hand, Rama indicates that work is continuing relentlessly to extinguish the fires.
The Prime Minister has called on all residents to be careful, to report any fires before it is too late, and to follow the advice of the authorities.
"Two extremely difficult days and nights, where municipal firefighting forces, Civil Emergencies, Armed Forces are facing large fires in Skënderbegas, Sojnik in Gramsh, Koshtan in Memaliaj, in Hormovë, Kodër e Lekël in Tepelena, on the border with Gjirokastra, Dhivër, Kakodhiq in Finiq, as well as in Dropull on the border with Delvina, where the danger and flames have been relentless."
Thanks to the selfless courage and total commitment of all forces on the ground, it has fortunately been possible to bring the fires under control, while work continues tirelessly towards extinguishing them and maximum preparedness for any possible reactivation or new outbreaks.
"A call to all residents to be careful, to signal any fire before it is too late and to follow the advice of the authorities, while for criminals who play with flames, the punishment will be maximum," Rama emphasizes./ CNA
