Lawsuit for defamation/ Brisida Shehaj requests the reopening of the judicial
Edi Rama and Brisida Shehaj

The former Director of Taxes, Brisida Shehaj, requests the reopening of the judicial investigation with Prime Minister Edi Rama, for the lawsuit filed by the latter in May 2022, where he accused him of defamation after the statements about the establishment of the price board.

On Friday, the next session was held in the Tirana court between Prime Minister Edi Rama and the former Tax Director Brisida Shehaj.

In the lawsuit filed by Rama in May 2022, where the latter claimed to have been damaged by statements made by Shehaj in a video post on her Instagram profile after the government's announcement of the establishment of the oil price transparency board.

Describing some of Shehaj's statements as slanderous and baseless, Rama asked to be compensated with 1 million Lek from her.

Meanwhile, Brisida Shehaj accused the prime minister that the decision with the Transparency Board was to the detriment of the citizens.

Shehaj is currently seeking the re-opening of the judicial investigation for the administration of new evidence that emerged in recent days.

In the request, it is underlined that the confession of the former deputy prime minister Arben Ahmetaj confirms the accusations made earlier by Shehaj, as well as his confession showed that the prime minister eats lunch with the oligarchs and gives them national wealth.

So, Shehaj claims that it has been proven that the government has given licenses to internationals and this is clearly seen in the file "Mcgonigal", the former CIA agent.

ALLEGATIONS:

Shehaj accused Rama: The prime minister came out and said: We will set up a board! If he does not lower taxes, there is no way he will lower taxes.

Shehaj accused Rama : There is no way to lower it, you must understand that he steals so much of this budget.

Shehaj accused Rama : He has taken so many commitments for these concessions that he cannot do this thing, it is that simple.

Shehaj accused Rama: The tax administration, led by Edi Rama's government, has taken 70% of them to the prosecutor's office for tax evasion for fraud.

Shehaj accused Rama: Now the judges and prosecutors close the files and this gentleman will take them and bring them to the board?

Shehaj: I never saw you denounce the prosecutor or the judge who closes the file of these oil companies.

Shehaj-Ramës: I did not see a denunciation of the internationals who steal our oil.

Shehaj: You didn't talk about the minister who was fired, that his brother took the refinery and turned it into scrap./ CNA
