War with the "machines"/ How is the attempt to remove Trump from the

A judge has ruled that Donald Trump must drop out of early voting in Illinois, as the Supreme Court must decide whether states can bar him from listing as a candidate.

How are you trying to remove Trump from the ballot?

Judge Tracie Porter of Cook County, Illinois, said Trump should be disqualified from running for president after the attack on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Porter suspended her ruling until Friday, allowing time for an appeal, and wrote that she was aware that its decision could not be the final result as higher courts must give the decision.

In December, the Colorado Supreme Court ruled that Trump was ineligible to run for president, the first time in history that Section 3 of the 14th Amendment has been used to disqualify a presidential candidate.

The US Supreme Court will have to rule before the Colorado primary.

Porter said her order would be put on hold if the Supreme Court's ruling is "in conflict" with hers.

Caryn Lederer, an attorney representing Trump's ballot opponents in Illinois, called the judge's decision a very important victory for her group.

Illinois is the third state to attempt to remove Trump from the ballot, following the decisions in Maine and Colorado.

Earlier today, the Supreme Court agreed to hear arguments on whether Trump should be immune from charges that he conspired to sway the 2020 election.

The court is hoping for a quick resolution and will hear arguments until the end of April, and will issue a decision no later than the end of June

"Legal scholars are extremely grateful for the Supreme Court's decision today to take away presidential immunity. Without presidential immunity, a president will be unable to function properly or make decisions in the best interest of the United States of America." America," writes Trump on the Truth social network.

"Presidents will always be concerned, even paralyzed, by the prospect of prosecution and wrongful retaliation once they leave office. This can actually lead to extortion and blackmail of a president. The other side would say: ' If you don't do something, the way we want, we will follow you when you leave office, or maybe even sooner", he said.

In another tweet Wednesday night, Trump denied any wrongdoing, saying all he did was build a successful and highly liquid company.

He called the allegations against him an attack on the GOP front-runner.

“This is a political witch hunt and will lead to the destruction of New York State, with businesses and people fleeing by the thousands while criminals continue to roam the streets. We will continue to appeal until justice prevails!" Trump wrote.

Trump wins primaries in several states

While his presidential hopes hang in the balance, Trump has won every GOP poll so far this year.

He won the Michigan primary on Tuesday, defeating his only rival, Nikki Haley.

Trump grabbed 12 delegates and had more than 68% of the vote while Haley took 26.6%, winning her four delegates.

He has beaten Haley in all of their head-to-head matchups, beating the former United Nations ambassador by 11 points in New Hampshire in January and by more than 20 points in South Carolina on Saturday.

Haley suffered another big loss in the Nevada primary after more than 42,500 voters chose the "None of these candidates" option.

Haley remains defiant despite back-to-back losses, including a loss in her home state.

"I've always said that no matter what happens in South Carolina, I'm still going to run for president," Haley told supporters after Saturday's results.

"I am a woman of my word. I will not give up this fight when the majority of Americans disapprove of Donald Trump and Joe Biden."/ CNA
