The passing of journalist Enrik Mehmeti/Head of the Albanian Supreme Audit Institution: A great loss of a dedicated man

The Head of the Supreme State Audit Office, Arben Shëhu, was present this Sunday at the tributes held in Vlora for journalist Enrik Mehmeti.

Speaking to the media, Shehu shared a message of condolence, describing the event as a double pain for Vlora.

According to Shehu, Enrik Mehmeti was not only a family man and a dedicated person, but also a born journalist, whose absence will be deeply felt.

"The loss of Enriku was first and foremost a deep pain for his family. But it was also a double loss for Vlora. It was the loss of a man who was a symbol of work, sacrifices, dedication throughout all these years, but also of a born journalist. Since taking office at the head of the Albanian Supreme Audit Office, I have been fortunate to have Enriku as a fellow traveler in my work. It expresses the human pain, but also that of a man at a high professional level. He had dedication at his core. He tried over the years to give the great message of supporting each other.

Journalist Enrik Mehmeti passed away on Saturday evening at the age of 40 in a tragic car accident./CNA
