The Police Supervision Agency (Korce-Elbasan Region) has reacted regarding the arrest of the police officer Chief Commissioner SP, 53 years old, with the duty of Head of the Border Sector at DVKM Korce.

The arrest of this employee was made as part of the execution of the order of the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the Korça General Jurisdiction.

His arrest was carried out as part of the investigations of the Criminal Procedure of 2023, referred by the AMP Korçë Sector, registered for the criminal offense of "Trafficking in narcotics".

From the investigative actions carried out by the Police Surveillance Agency, it is proven that:

Chief Commissioner SP, with concrete and direct actions, using his position in DVKM Korçë, at different time intervals and on 27.11.2023, has favored the citizen LL to cross the border at PKK Kashtice without subjecting him to border control in his vehicle, as well as ordering his subordinates not to carry out the control in this citizen's vehicle.

In connection with this criminal proceeding, there was close cooperation with the counterparts of the Greek police through the Police Cooperation Point Greece-Albania, where as a result of this cooperation it was possible to seize 26 kg of narcotics in the Greek state./ CNA
