With "hellish" speed/ Police punishes drivers with fines

The Traffic Police announces the suspension of 9 driving licenses and the taking of 51 administrative measures during late evening monitoring on the Farkë-TEG axis.

The reason is the determination of the speed from 151 km/h to 170 km/h, exceeding the maximum allowed in this segment which is 80 km/h.

The Blues inform that 9 driving licenses have been suspended for a period of 3-12 months, while the administrative measures have ranged from 5,000 to 30,000 new lek.

"Controls and monitoring of traffic by the Operational Unit of the Traffic Police in the General Directorate of the State Police, in cooperation with the Regional Commissariat of the Traffic Police, continue, even at night, using intelligent tools.

From the monitoring with Poliscan, during the late hours of yesterday evening, speeds from 151 km/h to 170 km/h were found, on the eastern Farkë-TEG ring road, where the maximum allowed speed is 80 km/h.

As a result, 9 driving licenses were suspended, for traffic at speeds up to 170 km/h, and 51 administrative measures were imposed: for speeding above the permitted rate; for mobile speed and usage; for speeding and not wearing a seat belt; for speeding, using a mobile phone and not wearing a seat belt while driving. 

9 driving licenses were suspended for a period of 3-12 months, while administrative measures ranged from 5,000 to 30,000 new lek, according to the number of violations committed by the driver.
