Former Prime Minister Fatos Nato has returned to the attention of the media after the news that he was hospitalized due to health problems he had.

Lawyer Spartak Ngjela has told one of the moments when Nanon was wanted to be killed and Ngjela saved him.

Njjela told News 24 that it is about an event that happened during the period of 1997 when they wanted to kill him and he took him in the car.

"When the SP was created, I did not believe that it came from the labor party. I knew Nano as an intellectual, but I did not know his political strength. That's where it came out for the first time. He removed all the leaders and turned the party into a socialist one from the Labor Party. I followed him closely at the time and there was a lot of optimism on the left, but then he was put in jail. I met him in prison during another investigation.

We talked about trivial things, he was in shape and we joked. Then came the war. When the war came, I took him by car because they wanted to kill him in 1997. I gave him the car, I told them to send him home. It was a state car. I opened the prisons because they would kill this. They informed me that they would kill him. I opened the prisons, I didn't cut his head at all, but this one didn't come out after that. He considered it an escape and he was right. After that, he returned until he got his own revenge", says Ngjela.
