On the Supreme Court scandal

Top Channel published a news story yesterday, in which it was emphasized that the Supreme Court was involved in a scandal. A document about Judge Asim Vokshi, elected by the Constitutional Court as a member of the Constitutional Court, was leaked to the media. Based on the report, this document was kept secret, hidden from the body of judges and was not handled properly by the Constitutional Court.

How does the truth stand?

There are two candidates in the race: Naureda Llagami and Asim Vokshi. The Supreme Court chose the latter.

Should one or the other go to the Constitutional Court, we as the CNA editorial team do not care at all, to put it mildly.

To look the truth in the eye, the essence is one.

What really happened in the Supreme Court to elect the member of the Constitutional Court? Was there interference from both good and bad? What is the truth? Does a document exist?

If it exists and has been brought about by law enforcement agencies in a suspicious manner, or if this law enforcement institution has been misused by certain individuals to bring the situation to this state, then this is even more worth investigating.

Who should be elected as a member of the Constitutional Court?

For us as an editorial office, it doesn't matter. What matters is the procedure that was followed .

Sokol Sadushi may have followed the procedure regularly, but there is a document there, because the KED itself admits it between the lines.

Nobody has anything against Judge Asim Vokshi. He should go to the Constitutional Court according to regular legal practices without anyone hindering him. If someone else, intentionally or unintentionally, has created intrigues and situations with false documents and information to hit him, this must be investigated to the end. And this is what SPAK should do to clarify the situation.

If Sokol Sadushi has behaved according to the rules of procedure, he remains honored and respected as the president of the Supreme Court. But if the document is regular, exists, and manipulations or evasions were carried out in order not to reduce the points of a certain candidate, this speaks volumes.

The essence of everything is the truth. And the truth begins and ends with a transparent procedure, not with explanations with 'circles' of words, which ultimately mean nothing, but simply continue and increase suspicions.

For us, as CNA, it doesn't matter whether Asim Vokshi or Naureda Llagami goes. For us, it matters: does this document exist and why was it not handled properly?

If this document has other scenarios behind it, the scenarios should be investigated and the truth should be revealed to the end. And if Sokol Sadushi has violated the law, he should resign from his position as the President of the Supreme Court. On the contrary, if he has really been so transparent and ethical, his hat should be taken off.

But apparently, the latter is riddled with holes./CNA
