Car falls from overpass in Durrës/ One person dies, three others injured

A serious road accident occurred yesterday evening in Durrës. A vehicle driven by a 26-year-old man fell from the overpass at the Dajlan Bridge.

As a result of the accident, the passenger, 18-year-old VG, lost her life, and the driver A.Xh. and two pedestrians were injured. The investigation group is working to fully clarify the circumstances of the accident.

At around 22:15, on 15.01.2026, at the Dajlan Bridge, in neighborhood no. 4, the vehicle driven by citizen A. Xh., 26 years old, resident of Fier, fell off the overpass.

As a result of the accident, the passenger, citizen VG, 18 years old, died, while the driver of the vehicle, citizen A. Xh., and two pedestrians, citizens TT, 33 years old, and AM, 35 years old, were injured and are in hospital under the care of doctors.

The investigation team is at the scene and is working to fully clarify the circumstances and causes of the accident. / CNA
