Veliaj's Mistakes/ He accepts the dismissal in the High Court, but does not

The dismissed mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, continues his legal blunders unstoppably.

The more days pass, the longer the process lasts, the more stupidity and madness, unbelievable things, we see day after day.

What actually happens?

Erion Veliaj had his trial at the High Court today, after he filed a second appeal requesting that his security measure be changed.

The Supreme Court has rejected Veliaj's request, leaving the former mayor of Tirana in prison.

In the appeal filed by his lawyers a few days ago, Veliaj, according to his own legal defense, has emphasized that he should be released because he can no longer tamper with the evidence and that in the new conditions and circumstances after being dismissed by the Council of Ministers, his security measures should be relaxed, to house arrest or to freedom. This request, filed in the appeal filed with the High Court, shows that Erion Veliaj has accepted the dismissal.

So, he goes to the Supreme Court with other circumstances, with other facts and evidence, saying that 'I have been dismissed, I am no longer mayor and now I can be prosecuted freely'.

But, in fact, Erion Veliaj, on the other hand, did not recognize the dismissal.

Although he says in the Supreme Court that he was dismissed, he went to the Constitutional Court, where he appealed the decision of the Council of Ministers and requested that that decision be annulled since the Council of Ministers cannot dismiss him, because the procedure followed by the Municipal Council is illegal, since he did not miss three months of work, but the circumstances and the reason were that he was in prison and could not report to duty.

So, on the one hand, Erion Veliaj goes to the Supreme Court saying that I have been dismissed, on the other hand, he appeals the decision of the Council of Ministers to dismiss him to the Constitutional Court.

How many "Erios" are we dealing with?!

We have an Erion who says 'release me because I was dismissed' and another who says 'I don't recognize the dismissal, I still want to be mayor'./ CNA
