The mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, met with the New York senator and the leader of the majority in the senate, Chuck Schumer.

Veliaj says that we are proud to have him as an ally, while he presented the senator with the national jersey with the Albanian flag and the number 10, where Schumer was written.

"It was a great honor to meet the Senate Majority Leader on Capitol Hill. He is a true offensive scorer – number 10 in football – for community issues, especially the Albanian community in New York State and beyond! We are proud to call him a friend and ally", writes Veliaj on Twitter. /CNA.al
