A few days ago, the State Police caught 4 foreign nationals, 3 from Libya and one Syrian, in the act while they were trying to smuggle oil into Albania.

Today, the Court of Durrës has imposed the measure of "imprisonment" for 4 citizens: 

A., 54 (ship captain), MA, 25, AA, 43, all three resident in Libya and BT, 25, resident in Syria.

Citizens AA, 46 years old, AN, 40 years old, AE, 53 years old, AH, 21 years old and AK, 29 years old, all residents of Libya, will also be processed in a free state.

“Këta shtetas, në bashkëpunim me njëri-tjetrin, kanë kontrabanduar nga Libia në Shqipëri, me një anije çisternë, 2275 ton naftë, e dyshuar kontrabandë”, informoi sot policia.

Njoftimi:

Operacioni i koduar “Ring” u finalizua pas hetimit disamujor nga Departamenti i Policisë Kriminale në Policinë e Shtetit, Drejtoria Vendore e Policisë Durrës dhe Policia Kufitare Durrës, me mbështetjen e Kapitenerisë Detare Durrës, Rojës Bregdetare dhe Autoritetit Portual Durrës, nën drejtimin e Prokurorisë së Rrethit Gjyqësor Durrës.

Katër persona janë arrestuar, ndërsa të tjerë (bashkëpunëtorë) janë proceduar në gjendje të lirë.

“Ring” ka vënë në pranga:

A., 54 vjeç (kapiteni i anijes), M. A., 25 vjeç, A. A., 43 vjeç, të tre banues në Libi dhe B. T., 25 vjeç, banues në Siri.
Filloi procedimi penal në gjendje të lirë për shtetasit:

, aged 43, AA, aged 46, AN, aged 40, AE, aged 53, AH, aged 21 and AK, aged 29, all residing in Libya.
"These citizens, in cooperation with each other, have smuggled 2,275 tons of oil, suspected of being contraband, from Libya to Albania with a tanker ship," the police informed today.

As material evidence, the tanker, the amount of oil and some mobile devices were seized.

The materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of the Durrës Judicial District, for further action, for the criminal offenses "Smuggling of goods for which excise duty is paid", "Storage or deposit of contraband goods" and "Smuggling of the captain, pilot or crew", of carried out in cooperation./ CNA.al
