KPA upholds decision to dismiss prosecutor Gripshi

The Special Appeals Chamber has upheld the decision of the KPC for prosecutor Dritan Gripshi.

In March 2024, the KPK decided to dismiss Prosecutor Gripshi from office because he did not meet the financial criteria.

The KPA panel was composed of Ina Rama as presiding judge, Rezarta Schuetz as rapporteur, Albana Shtylla, Mimoza Tasi, and Natasha Mulaj as members.

The panel of the Special Appeals Chamber, composed of Ina Rama as presiding judge, Rezarta Schuetz as rapporteur, Albana Shtylla, Mimoza Tasi, Natasha Mulaj as members, announced the decision on case no. 26/2024, dated 08.07.2024, which concerns the appeal of the re-evaluation subject Dritan Gripshi against the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission, no. 749, dated 27.03.2024.

 

At the end of the trial in the deliberation room, the panel, based on Article 66, point 1, letter “a” of Law No. 84/2016, “On the temporary re-evaluation of judges and prosecutors in the Republic of Albania”, unanimously decided:

 

Upholding the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission No. 749, dated 27.03.2024, concerning the re-evaluation subject Dritan Gripshi.

 

This decision is final and has immediate effect.
