KAS overthrows Celibashi/Declares anti-rally against Rama's SPAK illegal

The Complaints and Sanctions Commission has reviewed the request of the "Civic Center" to repeal the decision of the State Election Commissioner regarding the anti-SPA rally held by Rama.

The KAS has overturned the decision of the State Commissioner, who four hours before the February 20 rally had deemed it to be in accordance with the law. “Civic Stability” initially asked Celibashi not to allow the rally in “Skënderbej” Square. It then appealed his decision to the KAS.

 

 

"Today, the Complaints and Sanctions Commission reviewed the complaint request no. 3 filed by the "Citizen Center" with the subject "Abolition of Decision no. 129, dated 20.02.2025, of the State Election Commissioner".

At the end of the review, the KAS found deficiencies in both the request of the organization "Citizen Center" addressed to the SEC, as well as in the decision of the State Election Commissioner, because from the circumstances of the fact it resulted that the activity carried out on 20.02.2025, at 16:30 in "Skënderbej" Square was different from the activity reported on the CEC platform and consequently the administrative proceeding should have been carried out oriented in relation to this fact. For this reason, the KAS decided to repeal the Commissioner's decision no. 129, dated 20.02.2025", the announcement states./ CNA
