Document: Agriculture Report, Sallaku, 12 thousand euros to praise incinerators

Another scandal has come to light regarding the Agricultural University, where, according to exclusive documents obtained by SYRI, several professors received 12 thousand euros to praise incinerators.

According to an official e-mail, Professors of the Agricultural University of Tirana (UBT), namely: 1. Prof. Fatbardh Sallaku (Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Environment at UBT and candidate for Rector of UBT), 2. Prof. Seit Shallari (Head of the Department of Agro-Environment and Ecology) and 3. Prof. Fredi Brahushi (Head of the Department of Agro-Environment and Ecology), have offered their assistance to conduct a report on best practices in European Union countries and Balkan countries for waste management, focusing on the environmental advantages, and not only, of the waste incineration method and energy production.

"Also, the professors will write articles regarding the advantages of Waste Treatment Areas which will be published on various portals, and will be ready to participate in public debates, to defend with technical arguments the advantages that waste treatment areas and incinerators bring to the national waste management system," the e-mail reads.

The professors have proposed the conclusion of a contract, initially for 6 months (July 1 - December 1, 2020), with a payment of 2000 euros per month (in total for all three professors), i.e. a total of 12,000 euros for 6 months. The contract will be concluded with the Natural Person "SEITSHALLARI", according to the attached NRC extract, and the names of the other 2 professors will also be included in this contract as subcontractors.
