Expired medicines and 360 ALL per day per person/ Scandal in the Shkodra asylum

In a published report, the Ombudsman raises the alarm that the elderly in the nursing home in Shkodër are at risk from expired medicines.

According to him, some medicines were found in the pharmacy which had expired up to three months ago.

" The working group found that the pharmacy had some medicines that had recently expired (up to three months ago). This fact was brought to the attention of both the doctor and the head of the institution, who requested the immediate initiation of the procedure for their destruction".

Raporti tregon se kuota ushqimore ishte në vlerën 360 lekë në ditë për çdo person që trajtohet në qendren e të moshuarve.

“Kuota ushqimore ishte në vlerën 360 lekë në ditë për çdo person që trajtohet në qendër, e cila së fundmi ishte e pamjaftueshme për përfituesit për shkak edhe të ndryshimeve të reflektuara në çmimet e tregut dhe me inflacion galopant”, përfundon raporti.

Problematika të tjera në këtë qendër ishin mungesa e kapaciteve të mjaftueshme njerëzore. Avokati i Popullit ka parashtruar për këto problematika 5 rekomandime.

"Marrjen e masave përkatëse për shtim në organikë të pozicionit të punës me kujdestarë, psikolog dhe mjek me kohë të plotë për të ofruar shërbim cilësor në shtëpinë të moshuar në Shkodër në funksion të jetesës së tyre me dinjitet e në mënyrën më të mirë të mundshme, duke gëzuar plotësisht të drejtat e tyre themelore të sanksionuara në aktet ligjore e nënligjore fuqi.
