IDF continues operations in Lebanon/ Strikes power plant area

The Israeli army continues its operations in Lebanon, and it was previously reported that it had struck energy production facilities.

According to the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA), Israeli forces struck the area of ??the power generation plant that supplies the towns of Nabatiyeh, with at least four shells landing a short distance from the facilities.

NNA also reported that, in addition to the areas of Hamboush and Maifandoun, shelling also occurred in the town of Kafrjouz.

Meanwhile, a separate airstrike reportedly hit the Zawtar al-Gharbiya area, further escalating the security situation in southern Lebanon.

At the same time, the Israeli army announced that it had fired interceptor missiles at "suspected aerial targets" in the area occupied by Israeli forces in southern Lebanon.

As the army reported in a post on social media, the intercepts occurred after sirens were activated in northern Israel. No further information has been provided so far regarding the nature of the targets or any damage or casualties from the incidents.

Earlier, the IDF had issued a statement calling on residents of Deir al-Zahrani, Jarju and Sajjad (Jezreen) to evacuate or risk being killed. /CNA
