Changes in the new judicial map have provoked many reactions from political parties.

SMI MP, Erisa Xhixho, through a reaction declares that the new court map is contrary to the resolution adopted by the European Parliament.

Regarding the lawyers' warning for a boycott of court hearings, the MP stressed that the boycott of the Chamber of Advocates could lead to the collapse of the system, so the Government must urgently sit down with the Chamber of Advocates to find a solution.

"The new Judicial Charter is in flagrant contradiction with the resolution adopted by the European Parliament on May 19.

Reforma e sistemit gjyqësor sipas Hartës së Re të Gjyqësorit duhet të marrë në konsideratë opinionet e palëve të interesuara dhe kushtet socio-ekonomike të grupeve vulnerabël dhe të përmirësojë aksesin në drejtësi dhe procesin e duhur ligjor.

The New Judicial Map does not solve the long-standing problem of files waiting years to be reviewed, prolonging the length of court proceedings.

Out of 6 Courts of Appeal, Albanian citizens seeking justice in the second instance of the judiciary will appeal to the Tirana Court of Appeal. Justice for them will be delayed and there will be increased costs, especially for special social categories such as the Roma and Egyptian minorities, women in need, youth and juveniles, pensioners.

"The boycott of the Chamber of Advocates could lead to the collapse of the system, so the Government urgently needs to sit down with the Chamber of Advocates, experts who know the reality of the system, to discuss objectively solutions that focus on the citizen and not the interests of a handful of people." writes Xhixho./ CNA.al
