After four days of boycott of all court hearings, the Steering Committee of the Albanian Bar Association, has analyzed the situation, concluding that this was the beginning of a process to meet the requirements related to practicing law in the Republic of Albania.

Through a response, the Chamber of Advocates states that the HJC ignored their proposals for a new map, while calling on the government to accept their proposals.

The Chamber of Advocates warned of an indefinite boycott if its suggestions are not met.

"Vlerësojmë, që Dhoma e Avokatisë e Shqipërisë ka bërë prezent që në fillesat e hartimit të projektit të Hartës Gjyqësore problematiken e zbatimit në praktikë të një projekti të tillë. Me keqardhje u konstatua injorimi haptazi dhe mos marrja në konsideratë nga ana e KLGJ të propozimeve tona, në vendimin e saj të datës 10.06.2022.

Ne i qëndrojmë vlerësimit tonë, që kjo hartë giyqësore është në shkelje të plotë të së drejtës së individit për aksesin në drejtësi, mungesës së eficencës në realizimin e të drejtës së mbrojtjes si dhe rëndimin e situatës ekonomike – sociale të individit.

Dhoma e Avokatisë e Shqipërisë i kërkon Këshillit të Ministrave, si organi vendimmarrës për miratimin e hartës giyqësore, të marrë në konsideratë vërejtjet dhe propozimet e bëra prezent nga ana jonë gatë gjithë këtij procesi.

"Failure to take into account the remarks and proposals of the Albanian Chamber of Advocates in the decision-making process by the government will be the object of assessing the position of the Chamber of Advocates, escalating our future stance towards a total and indefinite boycott." says the Bar Association./CNA.al
