The President of the Republic, Ilir Meta addressed the session of the IX Global Forum of Baku with a special speech "For a changing Europe and the security of the Western Balkans", chaired by Ambassador Susan Ellitot - President and Chair of the National Commission on Policy American Foreign. 

The head of state stressed the importance of the immediate implementation of the Berlin Process, while speaking out against the Open Balkans.

The initiative of Edi Rama and Aleksandar Vucic, for President Ilir Meta is a non-comprehensive approach.

Jam i nderuar që jam folësi kryesor në këtë panel lidhur me një Europë në ndryshim dhe sigurinë e Ballkanit Perëndimor.

Bashkimi Europian nuk mund të jetë as më i fortë dhe as më i madh në arenën ndërkombëtare pa integrimin e vendeve të Ballkanit Perëndimor.

Ne e konsiderojmë mekanizmin e Procesit të Berlinit si katalizatorin kryesor të integrimit në BE të Ballkanit Perëndimor.

Ne duhet të përqendrohemi në zbatimin pa vonesë të Procesit të Berlinit dhe të mos shpërqendrohemi si dhe të mos ngatërrohemi nga qasjet alternative paralele jo gjithëpërfshirëse.

Pse Procesin e Berlinit?

Sepse Procesi i Berlinit mbështet krijimin e një tregu të përbashkët rajonal të bazuar në katër liri.

Të 6 vendet janë pjesë dhe e mbështesin plotësisht këtë proces.

Vetëm disa liderë mbështesin alternativën e Ballkanit të Hapur!

Procesi i Berlinit ka si pjesë të tij BE-në.

Ballkani i Hapur jo!

Procesi i Berlinit ka instrumente financiare për të mbështetur projektet e lidhjes.

Procesi i Berlinit fuqizon procesin e zgjerimit, duke i përshtatur reformat e kërkuara me shpërblimet financiare.

Ballkani i Hapur paraqitet si një alternativë ndaj anëtarësimit në BE, duke e tjetërsuar rajonin si një komunitet politik hibrid.

Procesi i Berlinit përmban 6 vendet e Ballkanit Perëndimor në tryezën politike të Bashkimit Europian.

Çdo proces që ka BE-në brenda saj përfaqëson vullnetin e vendeve tona.

Çdo proces që copëton BE-në përfaqëson frikën politike të liderëve autokratikë për humbjen e pushtetit të tyre!

I would like to salute the clear commitment of the new German Chancellor recently in our region for the acceleration of the Berlin Process and for the importance of the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, not only for the normalization of their relations, but also for mutual recognition! /CNA.al
