Trial on the merits of the "Meta" file/ Debates in session

The next trial session on the merits of the "Meta" case is taking place at the Special Court, where the defendants are the leader of the PL, Ilir Meta, former MP Monika Kryemadhi and three others.

The hearing began with arguments between Judge Etleva Deda and Meta's lawyer, Kujtim Cakrani. The judge asked the media to stop broadcasting and leave, which Cakrani objected to.

Judge Etleva Deda: The defendants Fatime Kryemadhi and Pirro Xhixho are not present at the hearing. The court will continue the hearing in their absence, but they will be represented by their lawyers. I ask the media to stop broadcasting.

Cakrani: Madam Judge, you are violating the procedure. You have no legal basis to interrupt the live media broadcast. / CNA
