GJKKO overthrows Veliaj/ He continues to remain in the glass cage, sessions every week and not live broadcast

The Special Court, in today's session against the arrested mayor Erion Veliaj and his associates, has decided to reject the request for live broadcast of the sessions.

Regarding this request, the GJKKO said that it had expressed its opinion in a previous decision on this issue following a request made by the media.

The GJKKO also rejected Veliaj's request to be released from the glass cage, reasoning that being in the glass cage during court proceedings does not presume Veliaj's innocence.

The next hearing in the Special Court for Velaij and his associates will take place on June 23 at 10:00.

Regarding the request for hearings to be held every two weeks, the court has been in the same line as SPAK, hearings will be held every week. For this decision, the GJKKO argues that the law provides for uninterrupted trial.

Meanwhile, Veliaj's pre-trial detention terms are suspended.
