PD MP, Ina Zhupa, in a statement to the media, has accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of seeking to give another mandate to Skënder Gjinushi at the head of the Academy of Sciences.

Zhupa stated that the request of two socialist deputies for the re-election of the president of the Academy of Sciences is disturbing and prejudicial.

DP has called on academics to raise their voices in protest against what is happening.

Edhe pse mandati i tij aktual është në Gjykatë Kushtetuese dhe pret shqyrtimin; edhe pse zgjedhja e tij në krye të Akademisë nuk është dekretuar nga Presidenti i Republikës se ishte antiligjore; edhe pse është denoncuar publikisht si pazar që ka në mes shitjen e ish-partisë së Gjinushit për interesat politike të Ramës, prapë Kryeministri nuk ndalet.

Reagimi, si i Partisë Demokratike, ashtu edhe i akademikëve Artan Fuga dhe Apollon Baçe ka qenë i fortë dhe do të vazhdojë.

Akademiku Baçe ka ngritur dy pyetje në analizën vjetore të Akademisë së Shkencave në lidhje me kërkesën për ndryshimin e ligjit, të propozuar nga dy deputetë socialist dhe që lejon rizgjedhjen e Gjinushit në krye të institucionit:

1- Shkak për kërkesën e amendimit të ligjit, a u bë shqetësimi vetjak i deputetëve për situatën në Akademi, apo kjo kërkesa u përgatit dhe ju delegua atyre nga kryesia e Akademisë?

2- Nëse kërkesa u delegua nga kryesia e Akademisë, përse ajo nuk u diskutua dhe miratua në asamble, siç e kërkon paragrafi 6 i nenit 11 të ligjit, i cili ngarkon për miratimin dhe ndryshimin e statutit asamblenë, jo kryesinë?

Partia Demokratike e thekson këtë shqetësim dhe paragjykon, me të drejtë, edhe staturën e dy deputetëve propozues të PS, që kanë kërkuar amendimin ligjor. Kjo për faktin se as z. Petro Koçi dhe as z. Ismet Beqiraj nuk njihen si njerëz të arsimit dhe shkencës së lartë, dhe as kanë lidhje me botën akademike.
