The footage broadcast on Wednesday evening (08.02.2023), in the investigative show "Fiks Fare" on Top Channel television, is very disturbing for the freedom of exercising the profession by a film crew investigating a case of illegality near Nikla in the district of Durrës. 

The Audiovisual Media Authority, AMA strongly condemns the exercise of verbal and physical violence that went as far as the use of firearms to intimidate the reporter and cameraman, as unacceptable acts and striking for freedom of speech.

All the more so that the event took place on a public property, by the river, where a group of people carried out illegal activity under the pretense that they were on their "property".

AMA is looking forward to the detailed investigation of this serious case, urging the law enforcement authorities to clarify the circumstances of the incident fully and as soon as possible, as well as to bring the responsible persons to justice./ CNA.al
