Today, the Steering Council of Radio Television continued the process for selecting the General Director of RTSH, advancing candidates Jetmir Shpuza and Aurora Polo to the next round, while eight other candidates were excluded.

In this regard, MP Ina Zhupa reacted, emphasizing that the competition for the director of RTSH is madness as candidates who meet the criteria are being excluded and that rules that do not exist are being invented.

Ina Zhupa's reaction:

The madness of the RTSH Steering Council, disqualifies candidates who meet the criteria from the competition!
The Steering Council invents rules that do not exist, disqualifies 8 candidates who meet every legal criterion, violating the law.

There is no voting in the law to enter or not to vote!!! Simply a competition and a vote to choose the director among those who meet the legal criteria!
Where did they find in the law the method of disqualification when they meet the legal criteria? Disqualification is when you do not meet the criteria, otherwise you are in the competition.

With an illegal decision, the following are disqualified:
Laureta Roshi
Kliton Rama
Floriana Paskali
Eni Vasili
Harilla Koçi
Enrik Mehmeti
Flamur Buçpapaj
Ermal Hoxha

All 8 must be in the race according to the law, along with the Polo-Shpuza duo who passed the “vote.”
Each member of the Council in his or her own right can vote for a candidate he or she prefers based on platform and skills, but there is no disqualifying right from the race when the legal criteria are met.

The law recognizes the right to vote for the winner, not to vote out those who meet the legal criteria.
The question is, how can you disqualify Eni Vasili from the competition? What legal criteria does she not meet?

I take Eni as the most well-known public figure, but each of the 8 disqualified candidates is subject to the same logic.
The criteria for whether or not they meet and compete are not arbitrary, they are by law, not done by voting but by a verification procedure.

If the currents within the Council are afraid of the secret vote during the competition and come up with extralegal disqualification methods, this is a serious problem for the competition and the legality of RTSH! /CNA
