Fredi Beleri, recourse to the Supreme Court

The lawyers of the elected mayor of the Municipality of Himara, Fredi Beleri, have appealed to the Supreme Court. 

The lawyers demand the annulment of the decision of the Prosecutor's Office of Vlora that registered the criminal proceedings against him.

Among the arguments presented by Beler's defense are the data in a register of the Vlora prosecutor's office, which according to her are in violation.

Fredi Beleri was sentenced by the Special Court to two years in prison for buying votes in the elections of May 14, 2023. This case is currently in the Special Appeal. 

On June 14, the GJKKO Appeal declared the judicial review closed and decided to announce the decision on Fredi Beler's case on June 25 at 1:00 p.m./CNA
