Focus, the fight against crime/ Proda is elected president of SEPCA

The General Director of the State Police, Ilir Proda, has been elected president of SEPCA (Association of Police Chiefs of South-Eastern Europe).

In his speech, he committed to strengthening cooperation.

"We are police officers and we have a mission: an uncompromising fight against crime to ensure the safety of the citizens of our countries. In the Albanian State Police you will find commitment, dedication, determination and reliability to develop joint investigations and operations", said Proda.

During the Assembly, the participants had the opportunity to discuss the current situation and the regional role of the Association in the fight against human smuggling and migrant trafficking, regional synergies in the fight against cybercrime, further strengthening of regional operational cooperation in the fight against all criminal phenomena that affect the countries of the region, the increase of cooperation in the field of training, as well as on the importance and evaluation of the role of women in the ranks of the Police.

During the assembly, Proda held numerous meetings with SEPCA counterparts and representatives of law enforcement agencies, whom he assured of his and the State Police's commitment and determination to strengthen cooperation in the interest of the rule of law.
