Flow at Kakavija customs/ Over 10 thousand entries and exits in the last 24

The weekend has brought a flow of movement at the Kakavija border crossing. This is due to the entry and exit of people and vehicles at the border with the Greek state.

According to the Gjirokastra Border Police, during the last 24 hours, a total of 10,162 people have entered and exited Albanian territory in Kakavija.

Of this total, 6,394 of them have entered Albania and 3,768 have exited, while a total of 3,156 vehicles have been registered, of which 1,955 have entered and 1,201 have exited the territory.

The first week of August is typically known as a busy period, due to the summer holidays.

Every year during this period, a large number of immigrants move from Greece to Albania and vice versa./CNA
