The summit started with the signing of the Roaming agreement, which will bring cheaper tariffs for the citizens of the Balkans in the countries of the Union.

The signing of the agreement was preceded by the statement of the President of the European Council, Charles Michel

During his speech, he underlined that the future of the Western Balkans is in the EU.

"Today we will sign an agreement on roaming charges, it is a concrete achievement. This is a very important step, another element is the support we want to give to the Western Balkans in relation to the energy crisis and energy difficulties that are the consequences of Russia's war in Ukraine. It is exciting to have a meeting of this level in this region. We are very convinced that the future of Europe and our children will be more prosperous with the Western Balkans, part of Europe", he said . /CNA.al
