What expectations do Albanians have for the coming year?

Albanians expect more income from 2023. Asked by the Barometer in Euronews Albania what they want most in the coming year, 59% answered more income, 15.3% of them want a better job, 12.6% want to leave Albania in the coming year.

The numbers continue to decline with 4.3% wanting to finish school, 3.7% wanting to start a business, just 1.1% wanting more vacations and 0.7% wanting a family.


It is women who want more income with 61.9% and 56.3% are men. While men want to leave Albania more, with 15.8% and only 9.4% of women.


Those who want more income are the third age, as 83.7% are 65-75 years old, 82.4% are 55-64 years old, 66.4% are 45-54 years old, 54.5% are 35-44 years old, 44.9% are 25-34 years old and 18.3% are 18-24 years old.

The complete opposite is for those who want to leave, as 38.2% are occupied by 10-24 year olds, 16.9% are occupied by 25-34 year olds, 8.6% are occupied by 35-44 year olds, 6.6% are occupied by 45-54 year olds, 6.5% it is occupied by 55-64 year olds and only 0.6% are 65-75 years old.

When we ask them how optimistic they are about the future, only 1.9% are very optimistic, 32.5% are optimistic, 36.2% are the same, 24.5% are not optimistic and 4.3% are not at all optimistic./ Euronews Albania
