GJKKO accepted today the families of the victims of the Gërdec explosion in 2008, as parties in the process against the former Minister of Defense, Fatmir Mediu.

In a statement to the media, Zamira Durda, who lost her son in the Gërdec tragedy, said that this is a small victory.

"A small victory. Let's see how it will go. Evidence is public. The weapons came on the order of the minister and they killed my son", she said.

While the lawyer of the Durda family, Dorjan Matlija, stated that today's decision was the most logical step that the court would have to take.
