On Thursday, the GJKKO Appeal returned to the cell the businessman Ervis Lami, against whom the Special Court on June 14, had softened the security measure by leaving him from "prison arrest" to "house arrest".

"The Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime, with a monocratic panel composed of judge Saida Dollani, today on 25.07.2024, announced the decision on criminal case no. 160 act, registration date 17.07.2024, on the appeal of the Prosecutor's Office Special against Corruption and Organized Crime, with object: 'Appeal against decision no. 312, dated 13.06.2024 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime', against the citizen under investigation EL, available in the case of personal insurance measures, and decided: The change of decision No. 312, dated 13.06.2024 of the Special Court for Corruption and Organized Crime in the point of disposal for the replacement of the personal insurance measure as follows: Continuation of the coercive personal security measure 'prison arrest' provided by Article 238 of the Penal Code, determined by decision no. 21, dated 13.03.2024 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, to the person under investigation EL" - announces the Appeal of the GJKKO.

After the arrest of Evis Berber, the head of ARRSH, two of his friends, Valter Begaj and Ervis Lami, were also put in handcuffs.

The latter are administrators of the company "B-VAAL", "ENG-10", now "DAAM".

According to the accusation, Evis Berberi, during the time he was in charge of the Agency for Energy Efficiency and in charge of the Albanian Road Authority, awarded 6 tenders illegally to these companies./CNA
