On Thursday, by way of the Special Prosecutor's Office, some of the directors of the head of the Municipality of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, were arrested, some of them headed important directorates near this municipality. 

Mariglen Qato, former director of Support Services at UKT Tirana, Redi Molla, former director of Tirana Water and Sewerage were arrested yesterday by SPAK, and another arrest warrant was issued for Taulant Tushen.

The latter is behind bars for the affair in Tirana's incinerator, while Fud's arrest warrant comes within the file 5 D - 5 Directors.

In the meantime, SPAK has given the measure "obligation to appear" for Eglantina Zeren, former director of "Tirana Parking", today director of Gjerbërim in Tirana. Another measure "Suspension of the exercise of a duty or public service" has been imposed on her. 

SPAK has given the measure "obligation to appear" to Enton Punavija, current Director of Traffic and Transport in the capital, as well as Debora Keçin, Director of the "Sports Club Tirana", Julian Zanaj, an employee at Public Procurement and Albano Janku, an engineer at the company and for businessman Nestor Muhamellari.

The security measures were issued by judge Rudina Palloi.

As CNA has reported earlier, there may be other officials and former officials who will be held accountable for tender abuses.
