Albert Nushi, Deputy Director for Public Order and Security at DVP Berat, has been handcuffed today, after the Court of Elbasan sentenced him to "house arrest" for the event that occurred on April 21, 2021, where he was killed in Elbasan Pjerin Xhuvani.

Nushi is accused of committing the criminal offenses of "Abuse of Duty" and "False Declaration before a Judicial Police Officer".

In April 2021, he held the post of deputy director of the Elbasan police.

According to witnesses, Nushi and some of his subordinates were present at the scene, but as soon as debates started between the parties, they ran away.

But, this is not the only event in which the police officer was involved, as he was mentioned for some wiretaps in the "Babale" file, at the time when he was the director of the Fier Police.

He stated before the court that his acquaintance with Fredi Alizoti was due to duty, and that he had confessed that he had interpreted the voice of the brother of the former Minister of Interior Fatmir Xhafa, Geron or Agron Xhafa in the wiretapping of the file 'Babalja '.
