Tourism expert: A week's vacation in the south costs as much as a week in

Holidays in southern Albania are becoming increasingly expensive for domestic tourists. Tourism expert Denis Dema stated in an interview with CNA TV that the cost of a week's vacation on the Albanian Riviera could be comparable to a tourist package to the Maldives.

According to Dema, high prices have led many Albanians to consider destinations abroad as more economical alternatives.

"For what you pay for a week's vacation in the south of the country, you can have a week's vacation in the Maldives," he said.

The expert emphasized that the increase in prices in Albanian coastal destinations is affecting vacationers' choices, while underlining the need for a balance between the quality of services and costs, so that domestic tourism remains competitive for Albanian citizens./ CNA
