Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi has accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of aiming to secure eternal power, claiming that this is also evident from a letter published in the book "Albanian Files".

Through a reaction on social media, Këlliçi said that Dutch architect Reinier de Graaf suggests to Rama the continuation of the regime by eliminating elections or by becoming "King" or "President for life."

According to the Democratic MP, this would also explain the Prime Minister's reaction to being described as the "Godfather of Albania", while adding that the May 2025 elections were a farce and, according to him, the electoral process has been damaged.

He further accused the prime minister of aiming to build an authoritarian regime, adding that Albanians have no choice but to overthrow him before he becomes even more dangerous.

At the end of his reaction, Këlliçi stated that Edi Rama's days are numbered and that, according to him, dreams of eternal power will fail.

"Edi Rama's project is revealed, he wants to have eternal power. He wants to be declared King!"

The reason why Edi Rama was upset when he was called the Godfather of Albania comes to light. He has plans to become King or President for life. And he has found the way he usually feeds these fantasies.
