Prime Minister Edi Rama, during the press conference with the President of the EC, Ursula Von der Leyen, announced that he will impose an extraordinary tax on the three largest energy producers.

" We must be aware that the EU is not in the conditions where there is a cave of gold that the day has come to open and pour florins on the peoples, this is a time of war. We did not choose it, the war is a fact.

It does not connect us through inflation and crisis, but also through its content.

Of course, those 80 million are not enough for us, but they are an important help and we are thanked for this help.

We will impose the extraordinary tax following the major directive from the EU.

It is a tax on the 3 largest energy producers. They have done nothing to sell the energy at multiples. They can't make staggering profits because of luck and we don't have a chance. We will impose the extraordinary tax and we will support those who are most in need", said Rama./ CNA.al
