"You will go to jail"/ Journalist Piro Nase's minor daughter is

Journalist Piro Nase has been threatened again, after previously being threatened over the phone due to his duty by the son of the head of the Crimes Department of the Përmet Police Station, Dhurim Çenko. 

This is the second case, after the journalist filed a criminal report for threats from the 21-year-old.

The threats made against the journalist today are related to his minor daughter. A person called his daughter from an anonymous number demanding an explanation for why they reported him.

"You will see it as a family where you will all go to the tent," says the threat.

Regarding this development, the Journalists' Association of Albania has reacted again today.

Through a statement on the occasion, AGSH demands an urgent response from the authorities and the protection of journalist Piro Nase.

Reaction to the deepening threats against journalist Pirro Nase.

Unfortunately, the attacks on Report TV journalist Pirro Nase have not stopped, despite reporting the threats to the police and publishing the data.

AGSH was informed today by the journalist about the threat to his daughter from the family of a police officer about whom Nase reported.

This is a serious act for which the suspected perpetrators must be held accountable.

We call for immediate action by state authorities and ensuring the protection of the journalist and allowing him to carry out his duties without intimidation and obstacles.

AGSH stands in solidarity with colleague Pirro Nase and his family at this time.

We take this opportunity to appeal for responsible and ethical journalism. /CNA
