 CNA warned/ Shkëlqim Hajdari is officially appointed Prefect of Tirana

Shkëlqim Hajdari has been officially appointed as the new Prefect of Tirana. CNA announced it the day before, while today the appointment was officially approved at the meeting of the Council of Ministers.

The government also decided at the meeting that Afrim Qendro be relieved of his duties as Prefect of Tirana.

DECISION
ON

RELEASE AND APPOINTMENT OF THE PREFECT OF TIRANA DISTRICT

In support of Articles 100 and 114 of the Constitution and Article 5 of Law No. 107/2016, “On the District Prefect”, as amended, upon the proposal of the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Council of Ministers

DECIDED:

1. Mr. Afrim Qendro, prefect of the Tirana District, is relieved of this duty.

2. Mr. Shkëlqim Hajdari is appointed prefect of the Tirana District.

This decision enters into force immediately and is published in the "Official Gazette".

Previously, Hajdari held the position of Chief Inspector General. Hajdari has more than 20 years of experience in the justice system, having previously served as a prosecutor at the Shkodra Prosecution Office. /CNA
