Former chief prosecutor Elisabeta Imeraj has spoken about the toughening of the measure for former prime minister Sali Berisha.

Invited to a show, Imeraj says that this was a consequence of the non-implementation of the court's decision.

According to her, the decisions of the Court must be respected.

 "The reason for which the measures for Berisha are toughened today, and as requested by the prosecutors, has to do with non-compliance with the first measure. In the end, the court's decision must be respected.

In the literal analysis, the prosecution has established an obligation to appear and not to leave the country, and now the reason why this measure is required is non-compliance.

The Prosecution requested a house arrest measure, arguing that the individual did not comply, and in this line, the court will decide to accept the request of the Prosecution", said the former chief prosecutor of Tirana./ CNA
