Indian Ambassador meets at the University of Shkodra: Our relations begin with

The Rector of the University of Shkodra, Tonin Gjuraj, hosted a meeting with the Ambassador of India to Albania, Ravindra Prasad Jaiswal. Two new programs aim to receive the support of the Indian state in our country. The Rector said that there is high demand from young Indians working in our country to study, and the program will be in English.

"I informed the ambassador that starting next year we will have a program in business administration. We receive messages every day from young Indians that they want to pursue their studies here. This program will be in English. The ambassador told us that he will help us in another study program, in health management. The embassy itself, although it is new, will see the possibility of teaching expertise through the Indian state", said Rector Tonin Gjuraj.

The Indian ambassador, while speaking about bilateral relations, focused on the example of Mother Teresa.

"We are happy to be here. As you know, India and Albania have a long history, we have long contacts. Mother Teresa was born here to Albanian parents, but she chose India to help the poor. She was loved very much not only in India, but all over the world. We want to improve and create new relations. We want to have the best possible relations to invest in the University of Shkodra, so that we can see how we will cooperate," said the Indian ambassador, Ravindra Prasad Jaiswal.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of expanding academic and cultural cooperation between the University of Shkodra and higher education institutions in India. For the University of Shkodra, this visit comes as an important step towards creating new international partnerships and raising its academic profile. /CNA
