The former mayor of Dibra, Muharrem Rama, presented himself today at SPAK.

He arrived in the early hours of the Special Court premises after being asked by investigators for questioning. It is suspected that Rama was wanted in SPAK due to an affair with public tenders.

It is not yet known if Rama has an open file in the special prosecutor's office, or if he was called as a person who has knowledge of any of the events in question.

Muharrem Rama took office as mayor of Dibra in September 2016, where he replaced Shukri Xhelili, fired after the publication of the video scandal where he asked for sexual favors to a subordinate of his in the municipality in exchange for a better job.

He is a doctor by profession and there were a lot of expectations from him at the time of taking office because he had great support from the executive. /CNA.al
