Payments for the Tirana incinerator from the Treasury Directorate at the Ministry of Finance to the Integrated Energy BV SPV Company continue.

According to data from Open Data Albania, the 2024 budget paid to Integrated Energy BV SPV an amount of 1,041,300,047 ALL (10 million euros), for the period January-September.

In just 40 days, another 3 million euros were paid, since the incinerator company received 7 million euros for the period January-July.

All this money is paid for the ghost incinerator of Tirana, which was seized by SPAK in August 2023.

SPAK emphasized that Klodian Zoto and Mirel Mërtiri have used other persons and companies to hide their traces as the real owners of the concession company "Integrated Energy BV SPV" sh.pk

According to the Special Prosecutor's Office, Zoto and Mërtiri are the people who guided and made the decisions regarding the Tirana incinerator concession company.

Meanwhile, the landfill is on the brink of disaster, as well as CNA has published images showing that it has exceeded its capacity.

Despite the low level of waste processing through incineration, the amounts spent from the budget for this incinerator are high.

Today, as we speak, garbage has invaded the capital and this is reflected in facts and images of CNA, which will continue to denounce the affair that swallows millions from the pockets of poor Albanian taxpayers.

But apart from Tirana, the incinerator that does not exist absorbs more than half of the budget of the Municipality of Durrës.

In addition to the theft that is done to the citizens of Tirana, the citizens of Durrës bear the same burden.

Waste management "devours" about 40% of the budget of the Municipality of Durrës, a rate many times higher than other municipalities in the country.

This Municipality is a unique case in that it spends half of its budget on trash cleaning and meanwhile the city is full of trash, and CNA showed this with facts, bringing images of how trash had invaded the main streets during the tourist season.

The Municipality of Durrës signed a contract with the company "Integrated Energy BV SPV", which manages the Tirana incinerator and from September 2021 brings the waste to Tirana at a cost of 3500 ALL/ton, excluding VAT./ CNA
